Sugandha's pov

When I heard Rudra Ji behind me, I was about to turn around, but a rush of emotions stopped me in my tracks. My heart raced as I contemplated what to say, knowing that this moment could change everything.

I immediately shut the door and turned around. Rudra Ji's piercing gaze fell upon me. "What's in there? I hesitated for a moment, searching for the right words to express the whirlwind of feelings inside me. "N...nothing," I muttered, my voice barely above a whisper. The uncertainty hung between us like a thick fog, and I could see the flicker of suspicion in his eyes.

"Then why are you sweating so much all of a sudden?" I could feel my heart racing, each beat echoing the gravity of the moment. "It's just... it's hot in here," I stammered, desperately searching for a way to deflect his gaze and the weight of his question.

"We just got home, Sugandha." Rudra ji reminded me of the gravity of the situation.

"I..I know, i just... umm I was running around trying to find Tulasi Jiji or nalini." I let out a nervous smile.

"Ohh, but why did you shut that door that loud?" He inquired. Oh lord!!! Can't this man stop his investigation?

"I... I saw..umm a lizard and shut it loud." I lied, trying so hard not to look like a scaredy cat.

He raised his brows and stepped towards me; time seemed to stop for me. My heart was racing almost at the speed of a train. He was towering over me with the look of curiosity and... suspicion.

"Let me handle that lizard." He asserted and tried to push me away. But I held his hand mid-way. "W.. what's the point? Let's go to our room." I bite my lower lip and smile again.

"Anyone who scared my wife must die, it doesn't matter what it is. Let me find it." He again tried to open the door while leaning against me.

I kept trying to block him, but he was super tall and stronger, I couldn't contain him. "Rudra ji, chalte hai na... idher kyu waqt gawarahe hai?"

He suddenly lifts me off the ground by my waist and puts me on the side like nothing. Before I could even stop him again, he burst the door open.

I closed my eyes shut, waiting for my awaited death. My mind was playing all the consequences of this situation, and they're all the worst.

Krishn ji, please do something. Any miracle... I pleaded.

"There is nothing here." he said.

I slowly opened my eyes and stepped into the room. He was right.... There was nothing. If there were anything, I'd be dead by now.

"I said so. Now we just wasted our time." I said and held his hand to guide him out of the room.

"But... I want to kill that lizard." He said. Oh lord! If he gets to know about the actual lizard, I don't want to imagine what he's going to do.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him hard. He seemed to be caught off guard. He didn't do anything for a few seconds, but then he held my hips and deepened the kiss. I was kissing him with all of my intensity, I just want to erase his memory of everything.

"I can be your canvas, let's go to our room... I can't wait." I murmured against his lips, and he let out a smirk. "I can't wait either, meri jaan."

He lifted me off the ground with no effort whatsoever, and his eyes were looking around to be cautious. Then I spotted them near the back door. Nalini locked her eyes with mine, she looked terrified.

Rudra ji was about to follow my gaze, I panicked and held his cheek and kissed him again. He seemed to be surprised again but did kiss me back.

"Someone is too eager today." He said while kicking our bedroom door open.

"Y..yeah. I feel so much love today." I spoke with a small smile.

"Hmm... I'll make sure to fill you up with more love." He asserted and started removing his clothes. His muscles were on display, and the sight was already making my intimate area throb.
