Rudra bought the axe and passed it to Indra. Anuja was petrified by the thoughts of upcoming events.

"Indra, yeh maat kar. Tu sarpanch hai. Agar tune kisiko maar diya toh bohut bura hoga. Mujhe tujhe jail jaate hue nahi dekhni. Teri maa yeh  din dekhne keliye zinda nahi hai." Anuja said while joining her both hands in front of him.

(Indra, don't do this. You're a sarpanch. If you kill anyone then you'll face a lot of problems. I don't want to see you going to jail. Your mother is not alive to see this day)

Indra looked at Anuja; he felt something inside him. No one wants their mother begging like that in front of them. But Indra will not back down; some man tried to ruin his life, aka Tulasi.

"Maa, you don't have to worry. India is so corrupt; if I throw some money at the police, they'll become quiet. And my people will never snitch on me. That asshole needs to be dead. He has been a menace for this village for a long time. Now, he dared to ruin my woman!!! I'll not leave him alive." Indra said with his raging eyes.

Indra and Rudra made their way towards the culprit's house even when Anuja tried to stop them. Nalini was happy with her brother's decision.

Tulasi tried to sleep, but she couldn't. She kept caressing her green bangles. She didn't know what to think of Indra's words. She just hoped that he'd never find out about her past incident. She's scared that the society might blame her, and Indra may not forgive her again and again. After all, other men even looking at your wife's face meant a big disgrace. And... Indra didn't even say anything when another man left his marks on me. If it had been some other man, he would've kicked me out and married a virgin again. These were Tulasi's thoughts.

~Time skip~

Indra and Rudra reached the house of Vardhan and his father, Niranjan. The house was big, since they belonged to a high caste, and also they were rich.

It was night, so there was no trace of those two, except the guards of the house.

Indra didn't even bother opening the gate; he kicked it open.

"Bahar aa saale! Aaj teri maut dekhega tu" Indra yelled out.

(Come out, mf! You'll witness your death today.)

The guards of the house immediately woke up and made their way towards Indra and Rudra.

"You can't do this nonsense here. This is the house of Niranjan ji." One of the guards spoke.

Indra and Rudra ignored them and tried to enter, but those guards launched themselves onto Indra and Rudra individually. They started choking them from behind.

Indra immediately kicked his nuts and escaped the grip.

They both started fighting with those two guards, and they were literally no match for these two lions.

Vardhan and his father were watching this from the upstairs window. They were scared and angry that they might not be able to escape Indra's wrath.

But they expected this from the start and prepared themselves. Niranjan immediately went downstairs and ordered the goons to attack that two-brother pair.

That poor unwanted wife was begging them not to do this while clutching onto Vardhan's legs, but he kicked her away with a smirk.

"Shut up, bitch. Prepare for the welcoming celebrations; a new wife of mine will enter this house by the sunrise." Vardhan spoke while letting out a bitter laugh.

Vardhan's mother was grossed out by his nature. She never expected him to turn out like his father; if she had known that he would end up like this, then she would've killed him when he was born. She immediately picked the wife of Vardhan and escorted her inside.

Indra and Rudra knocked those two guards out in an instant. Then... They heard many people coming out of the house. They turned back their heads, and there were 13-15 goons with sticks and knives.

Indra clenched his fist like gritting his teeth. He let out a loud growl.

"Rudra, if we had to die to bring justice to your bhabhi, will you do it?" Indra asked loudly.

"Bhaiya, that's not a question to ask. I would sacrifice my life for our family, gladly." Rudra replied, looking at his big brother that he always looked upon.

Indra's pov

I was so proud of my brother. He's like my other guardian, just like I'm his guardian.

The goons made their way towards us like a pack of wolves. And we growled like lions and ran towards them.

It was like a slow-mo; I know this is life-threatening, but I'm ready to give it away happily for my tulasi.

I and Rudra started fighting with them like some monsters that just got unleashed.

I used my axe, and it was easier for me to injure them easily. I didn't practice fighting for nothing. I prepared myself for everything after my father's demise. I took an oath that I'll protect my family until my last breath.

The goons were too many, and I can see Rudra getting tired. We both kept fighting, and they weren't ready to give up.

I glanced at the main door, and Niranjan signaled a goon to attack Rudra from behind. I immediately looked at Rudra; he wasn't focusing on his back. I tried to yell out, but then some man hit my head with a heavy rock.

I groaned in pain and fell on the ground on my knees; blood was oozing out from my head to my face.

Rudra immediately looked at me with concern and panic. When the other tried to stab him from behind, he immediately kicked him in his stomach.

My ears started ringing, and I couldn't hear anything. I tried to keep my eyes wide open. But my head started hurting a lot. When the goons noticed that I had become weaker due to the wound, they started making their way towards me.

I closed my eyes while groaning loudly. The only image I got was of Tulasi. I remembered her crying face and the torments that she endured from that motherfucker. That was enough to turn me back into my senses, ignoring my pain and agony.

We both fought and fought, and everyone was exhausted now. The son-father pair was smirking away, thinking that they're about to win and end me. There's no way; I would die before killing that Vardhan.

Most of the goons were heavily injured, and they couldn't fight any longer, but some of their loyal ones were persistent.

The blood was covering my vision since it flowed down till my lashes. My head was hurting a lot.... I was so close to falling, and Rudra seemed like his body would give up soon.

Then my eyes fell onto the mother of Vardhan, who was looking at me through a window grill. She signaled me to hang in there while crying.
