The naatak (drama) soon came to an end, and my face held a happy smile. I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Everyone started getting up, and I did as well. I'm trying to look for Rudra Ji among the crowd. But… he was nowhere to be seen.
My heart was panicking, I immediately ran to the other side to search for him. I just couldn't spot him.
The men were looking at me weirdly, so I walked out. Tears started welling up in my eyes.
My heart was thumping as hell. It's as if I'll have a heart attack. Did Rudra ji bring me here to get rid of me...?
My brain was making negative assumptions. Suddenly, it started thundering… I flinched at the sound.
Everyone was running past me to seek shelter or leave as soon as possible. I just stood there with tears flowing down my cheeks. Rudra Ji just disappeared. He left me here in an unknown area. H…how will I survive now? I don't know the way back home…
The raindrops were hitting my skin, and I didn't care about them. I was too scared to think about anything else.
Then… I heard a voice, I immediately turned back.
"Sugandha, why are you standing there…?" He said.
I ran towards him and hugged him tight. I started sobbing into his chest.
My heart felt relieved after I saw his figure. I really thought he left me behind. It was a really scary feeling…
"Sugandha, w..what happened…?" He asked me.
I slowly looked up at him with tears. I was breathing heavily due to the earlier panic attack.
"W..where did you go, Rudra ji?? I got scared that you left me here and returned home." I spoke in between my cries.
I watched his expression softening. I still held him tightly, I was afraid of letting him go out of my grasp.
He wiped my tears and spoke softly. "I just went to the washroom. You overthink too much."
"I…I would've come as well!" I said.
"What!?" He said in shock.
I spoke with my lower lip quivering. "Yes… I would've accompanied you there as well. I… I'll just look away, and you can do your business. I'd rather accompany you to the washroom than be alone."
He seemed stunned by words. I don't care, I just spoke what I felt. I'd rather be embarrassed than panic unnecessarily.
"Sugandha, you're too innocent for this world." He said while caressing my tear-stained cheek.

The rain started pouring down heavily, but two of them just stood there without moving a muscle.
They kept looking into each other's orbs, and the raindrops were hitting their lashes again and again.
Sugandha still had a grip on his shirt from each side. They both were in a trance, ignoring everything else around them.
Rudra wasn't in his senses, he leaned closer to Sugandha's face. And she didn't back down or move an inch.
Sugandha's lips parted automatically, and Rudra's eyes closed involuntarily.
Rudra slowly snaked his arms around Sugandha's waist and pulled her closer to him.
Sugandha gasped a little, and Rudra took the chance and kissed her.
Neither of them moved their lips, they just stood there with each other's lips glued together.
Sugandha's orbs shut down as well, and Rudra deepened the kiss and also tightened his grip on her.
They both don't know how to kiss, but Rudra is still doing it very well. Sugandha tried to kiss back, but she couldn't match his energy.
Sugandha's back kept arching due to Rudra's intensity of the kiss. His body kept leaning forward and forward; he just refused to break the kiss.
She was getting short of breath, she started tapping on his shoulder. Rudra got the signal and pulled back slowly.
They both were panting while looking at each other. The rain washed down the saliva substrate for their lips, and both were trying to get a grip on their racing hearts.
The sudden thunder broke their trance state, and both of their eyes widened at the same time at the realization.
Rudra's face was now red as a cherry. Sugandha's vermillion flowed down to her chin, making her look ethereal.
Sugandha's grip got loosened, and she stepped back a little. They both finally broke their eye contact and averted their gazes in shyness and bewilderment.
They both were literally drenched from head to toe. But they still didn't realize it since they were just oblivious to other things.
"Rudra saheb, why are you guys standing under heavy rain?" A local farmer yelled out from a distance.
Sugandha immediately hid her face with the veil, and Rudra looked at that man. Thankfully, no one witnessed a free show… he was late.
"Nothing… We're just about to leave." Rudra yelled back.
He looked back at Sugandha, whose face was covered now. He was too embarrassed to speak at first, but he still did it.
"Cheliye" he spoke softly. (Let's go.)
Sugandha nodded her head slowly and sat in the back. Rudra started the engine, but this time… Sugandha didn't keep much of a distance between them.
Rudra's pov
We reached our home after a while. Sugandha got down, and I parked the motorcycle.
Everyone was outside, probably they were worried about our arrival amidst this bad weather.
"Hayee ram! Mera baccha pura bheeg gaya." My mother wrapped me in a towel as soon as she saw me.
I glanced at Sugandha, she just stood aside while hugging herself. I wanted to hand her my towel to warm up, but I didn't... Because I know the repercussions of it.
"Why are you this late?" Mother asked me.
"Sorry, Maa. Woh…… the short route got blocked by a fallen tree, so I had to take a long one instead." I lied quite confidently.
My mother was easily convinced by it. Well, I don't lie frequently, but it's okay sometimes.
I watched as Tulasi Bhabhi escorted her inside carefully. I sighed… and glanced at Indra bhaiya.
He had a smirk on his face, I scrunched my brows in confusion. He walked closer to me and patted my shoulder twice.
"Very well… But next time, wipe out all the evidence before speaking." My older spoke while pointing at my shirt.
I looked down at myself… Fuck!!!!
My white shirt was a little smudged with Sugandha's kajal. It probably stained my shirt when she cried on my chest. How can I miss such an obvious clue…?
I facepalmed myself in pure shame. Then I heard my brother's chuckles, and I groaned in return.
"Bhaiya, woh… umm, I'll go change my clothes," I spoke lowly.
I was just trying to escape the situation somehow.
"Sure, sure…" he muttered and continued to laugh.
I walked past him hurriedly and stepped inside my room.
I spotted Sugandha near the window. She already changed her clothes so fast…
I cleared my throat, and she turned back to look at me. I just couldn't keep any contact with her anymore.
"I need to change into a new pair of clothes." I said.
"J…ji." I watched her leave the room.
I sighed and changed my clothes freely. The weather was too cool. I hope I don't catch a cold.
After changing and having our dinner. We both lay on the bed facing away from each other.
Today was a big blunder, I do not know what made me do that. It was too straightforward and inappropriate. I need to keep better control of my advances, or else I'll just end up crossing the line. But a question was lingering in my head….
Why didn't she reject me or push me away?
Women are really very confusing, just as my feelings are.
